FTMS in Action

Situation 1 Arrival on the Scene

상황1

Upon arrival, the fire chief starts the Control Device (CD), while firefighters don their designated Personal Device (PD).

  • PDs are activated when removed from the charger, indicated by a green LED light. Activated PDs send activation signals to the CD to establish communication and initiate real-time monitoring.

  • CD automatically detects, registers, and monitors activated PDs, displaying the status and location of each firefighter.

Situation 2
Mayday calls from firefighter in need

상황1

During a mayday situation, firefighters can manually press the emergency button or rely on the motion sensor in their PDs to send SOS signals.

  • alerts surrounding personnel with an audible alarm and flashing red lights, and sends an emergency signal to the CD.

  • CD automatically detects, registers, and monitors activated PDs, displaying the status and location of each firefighter.

Situation 3
Relaying mayday calls

상황1
  • When the CD receives a mayday call, the fire chief at a Fighter Control Base can send a rescue signal and location to nearby firefighters for assistance.

  • On-site personnel with PDs receive and confirm the message from the base and swiftly head toward the rescue location.

Situation 4
Emergency evacuation

상황1
  • In the event of emergency outbreak, such as a building collapse, the base sends an evacuation signal to PDs to alert all on-site personnel.

  • Upon receiving the evacuation signal, PDs show red LED lights with audible alarms and help on-site personnel promptly evacuate the area.

Situation 5
Extending communication coverage

If a firefighter encounters an emergency situation in communication black spots, such as a building basement, the emergency signal can be transmitted to the CD using the repeater function of fellow firefighters' PDs.
